Did you know?
| 1 | Mexico is the leading grower of Hass avocados, accounting for about half of worldwide consumption. About 90% come from the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. |
| 2 | Unlike many tree fruits, avocados do not fully ripen until after they are picked. When allowed to remain longer on the trees, as often happens in Mexico, mature avocados have a slightly higher oil content that accounts for their ultra-rich texture and flavor. |
| 3 | Hass avocados are also known as “alligator pears” because of their rough pebbly skin. |
